Who says a little rain will stand in the way of great photographs? Kathy and Craig were so sweet about traipsing around through the puddles on the way to their reception at Novelty Hill Januik Winery. They even did a very special day-after shoot involving their fishing boat that I will share with you next week - it makes these photographs look dry!

Feeling Creative at the Hotel del Coronado

Trips are such a good way to stretch our artistic wings. While Ken and I were at the Hotel del Coronado, I spent a lazy afternoon wandering around the quaint little town and photographing anything that looked interesting. It may have been the 80 degree weather or the fun mixed drinks, but I had a blast just running around like a kid with a disposable camera. I think it's time to plan another vacation! :)

Washington has such an amazing variety of venues, and so many 'hidden gems' like the Delille Cellarswinery in Woodinville. I adored this design created by Jacky Grotle at Event Success and Rented Elegance for the recent Weddings in Woodinville tour. I found this design particularly inspiring because the color palette is one of my personal favorites - rich, vibrant, and still so elegant.

I am obsessed with the personal touches that create a sense of occasion ... the calligraphy on this seating card is beautiful! I thought the mini-corkscrew gifts were a cute addition.

We've been waiting all winter for the cherry blossoms to arrive so we were pleasantly surprised when they arrived a month early! This is one of my favorites from Dinh and Eugene's session at the University of Washington ... we were waiting for some other photographers to finish up their pictures on the path, and I got the idea to have them climb up in the tree while we waited. Thanks for being so adventurous, Dinh!
